CHAIR – Neil Shah, Chief De-stressing Officer & Author of The 10-Step Stress Solution, The Stress Management Society 

This conference will be chaired by Neil Shah, a leading international expert on stress management and wellbeing. An engaging and inspiring motivational speaker and success coach, he has extensive expertise in hypnotherapyneuro-linguistic programming and strategies to promote wellbeing.

Neil is the founder and Director of the Stress Management Society (a leading international authority on stress management and wellbeing issues) and was recently voted #22 in the list of the world’s Top 30 NLP Professionals for 2015. He is a renowned media personality on the subject of stress and writes regularly for newspapers and magazines including The GuardianThe TimesMen’s HealthPsychology’s MagazineHR MagazineTop Sante and the Huffington Post.


Louise Boston, Occupational Health Manager, E.ON

Louise Boston is the Occupational Health Manager within E.ON. She has over twenty years of experience within occupational health having worked in a variety of industries including EnergyRetail, Media and Aviation. Louise completed a degree in Occupational Health Nursing at the Royal College of Nursing and holds additional qualifications in Occupational Safety and Human Resource Management.She is the former chair of the Energy UK Occupational Health Committee and past director of the Association of Occupational Health Nurse Practitioners. Louise speaks regularly at conferences across the UK on a variety of topics including Occupational Health case management and workplace wellbeing.


Sam Fuller, Managing Director, The Wellbeing Project

Sam founded the Wellbeing Project in 2007. She is a highly experienced resilience and stress management consultant with over 10 years experience working with a wide range of commercial and public sector organisations. Sam is a certified trainer with CIPD, accredited by the International Stress Management Association and the Royal Society of Public Health, a certified NLP and applied neuroscience practitioner.

Working alongside a variety of experts, she has designed two outstanding diagnostic tools – The Wellbeing Audit and My Resilience that provide clear, concise and simple, practical feedback to organisations and individuals enabling them to take areas of risk and develop them into strengths. It is Sam’s ambition to put employee resilience and wellbeing at the heart of every business.


Tim Hipgrave, Emotional Health Lead, Nuffield Health

Tim Hipgrave has over 15 years experience in wellbeing, health and fitness. Tim acts as subject matter expert on emotional health in support of diverse groups of colleagues and has lead the running and development of Nuffield’s digital proposition.

He now works as an integral part of the team, implementing Nuffield’s Emotional Health and Wellbeing Strategy, including communicating this to the wider business in support of client relationships. Passionate about supporting people and organisations to be their best, Tim’s emotional health programmes and services with key corporate clients are never far from discussions about providing tailoredevidence basedsupport that truly makes a difference to the emotional and holistic wellbeing of the people he works with.


Susan Gee, Head of Occupational Health and Wellbeing, Yorkshire Water

Susan is a commercially astute, innovative and highly influential Occupational Health Manager with comprehensive experience gained within public and private sector roles. Susan was previously employed for 16 years at Bradford Metropolitan District Council as Head of Occupational Health & Safety. Susan is currently a visiting lecturer at Leeds Beckett University where her specialist subject is Sickness Absence Management and Wellbeing. Susan has a BSc (Hons) in Public Health (OH), an MA in Health Care Lawand an MSc in Leadership, Management and Change in Health and Social Care.



Judith Grant, Head of Occupational Health and Wellbeing, Royal Mail Group

Judith Grant has been Head of Occupational Health and Wellbeing at Royal Mail Group for two and a half years. At Royal Mail Group, Judith is responsible for developing and delivering wellbeing strategy and programmes in addition to overseeing the occupational health and wellbeing contracts.

Currently studying part time for a PhD in Occupational Health Psychology and Management at the University of Nottingham, Judith has an interest in academic research on workplace wellbeing and her thesis is focussed on socioeconomic statusobesity and dietary behaviours. With a background that includes working in community health for a local authority, in corporate health promoting wellbeing programmes to businesses, and personal training both for a gym and privately, Judith has a varied background in health and wellbeing promotion.


Beth Rose Husted, Rehabilitation Services Manager, Unum

Beth is currently the Rehabilitation Services Manager at Unum UK and supports a team of consultants with their portfolio of return to work case management and delivering absence management solutions / education to clients. Vocational Rehabilitation Consultants develop tailored plans to support employees back into the workplace following illness or injury.

They work alongside employers and support the individual with ongoing case management with regular review to monitor progress and adjust plans if the situation changes. Beth started her career as an Occupational Therapist, working across a range of hospital settings from Stroke Rehab to cancer care, chronic fatigue and rapid response. She then specialised in Vocational Rehabilitation 7 years ago, supporting individuals and employers with return to work facilitation.


Sean Burgess, Clinical Lead / Service Delivery Manager, Metropolitan Police 

With a registered health professional, as well as an Occupational Hygiene, Safety and Risk Managementbackground, Sean has well over 20 years experience practicably and strategically protecting the health and wellbeing of employees in a variety of sectors, including High Hazard onshore / offshore oil and gas production / exploration operations, international oil and gas shipping, construction (in particular tunneling operations) and the policing sector. Sean’s particular expertise is within the systematic organisational health hazard anticipation / recognition and assessment following by active / proactive development of best practice health risk mitigation systems whether risks are of a physical or psychological origin.

Within policing, much of Sean’s Psychological Health Risk Management focus has been in the management / development of solutions for acute and cumulative psychological trauma risks as well as more main stream organisational stress risk management solutions. In particular, Sean has been championingpeer driven approaches to some very real and substantial threats to operational policing in his role as Clinical Lead / Service Delivery Manager through the 100 staff plus Occupational Health department at the Metropolitan Police.

Charlotte Connell, Head of Human Resources, Organix

Charlotte is the Head of Human Resources at Organix. She plays a vital role in creating and delivering a people strategy that aligns to, enhances and delivers Organix’s business strategy, Charlotte works to drive performancetalent development and to act as a guardian of Organix’s culture and employer brand. She is passionate about ensuring a positive working environment, filled with opportunity and purpose.

Charlotte is also responsible for creating the ‘Wake up to Wellbeing‘ programme. Previous to Organix, Charlotte worked in various HR roles in the public, private and charity sectors.


Clare Dickens, Mental Health and Wellbeing Coordinator, University of Wolverhampton

Clare is from a mental health nursing background, gaining practice and management experience in an array of settings including intensive care, acute substance misuse, primary care and research practice over the past 12 years.

At the University, Clare is responsible for the strategic development of the response to student wellbeingand works across all areas. She is part of the Safeguarding committee whose portfolio has embraced suicide awareness and mitigation and self-harm awareness as one of their priorities. Outside work, Clare’s family life helps her fulfill her ‘five a day for wellbeing‘.

She is also passionate about her community and dedicates a large portion of her spare time concentrating on her work with the FA as a club secretary and Child Welfare Officer.


Lisa McGrevy, Divisional HSEQ Manager, Wincanton

As the Divisional HSEQ Manager for Retail and Consumer, Lisa leads the strategic and operational delivery of safety for the sector which covers operation for major multiple retailers, consumer, grocery, general merchandising and home & DIY customers including many household names.

As safety lead in this sector, Lisa’s role is to ensure that Wincanton delivers their customers’ expectations for the highest standards in safety, and to set Wincanton apart by educating, raising awareness and engaging teams in an active safety culture.

Lisa is also responsible for the management of the outsourced Group Occupational Health provider and the award winning Group Occupational Health and Wellbeing programmes including the HR Excellence Award for Wellbeing 2016 and the St. Gobain Wellbeing Award 2015.
