Jon has spent over twenty years in recruitment across agency , RPO and in-house roles including globally focused roles in investment banking, professional Services, distribution and business services. He is currently Group Head of Resourcing at construction and services giant Carillion and is passionate about improving diversity and developing an an insight led, data driven in-house function that transforms how companies look at talent. In his spare time away from recruitment he runs marathons!

At Symposium we know that recruiting the right people for your organisation is getting harder. For the first time since the recession the number of advertised jobs has overtaken the number of job seekers. This puts the candidate in a much stronger position, being able to pick, choose and demand what they want. To add to this, the UK is suffering from a skills gap with more than half of British businesses saying young people do not have the right skills for the job when they leave school. All of this makes for a much more competitive market.

The Symposium 2015 Innovation in Recruitment Summit, now in its eighth year, will take an in-depth look at the latest innovations in recruitment, helping delegates to stand out from competition in a tough market and find the right skills for hard-to-fill roles faster. The conference will be held in Kensington, London on September 24.
