With less than two weeks until the 3rd Annual Apprentices and School Leavers
Conference, we are delighted to welcome Sara Duxbury from Fletchers Solicitors as one of our speakers.
With an increasing number of people turning down university places in favour of earn-on-the-job apprenticeships, the market has undergone a huge change this year: which will continue into 2017. Top of the list is the new Apprenticeship Standards, as well as the Apprenticeship Levy.
These are going to have a huge impact on the future of the apprenticeship market: but businesses have already started to proactively bring in schemes to counter them.
Chief among them are Fletchers Solicitors, whose groundbreaking Trailblazer Solicitor Apprenticeship programme allows aspiring young trainees the opportunity to kickstart careers in law, without the huge costs of university debts.
The six-year long programme allows Fletchers to recruit an 18 year old straight from their A-Levels and have them funded through their LLB (under-graduate), LLM & LPC (postgraduate) and part time study – while also working as a paid employee and finishing as a fully qualified solicitor.
Sara Duxbury, Head of People at Fletchers will be exploring this breakaway from traditional apprenticeships during her anticipated talk at the 3rd Annual Apprentices and School Leavers Conference on 6th December at the Hilton Hotel, Canary Wharf, where she will join a wealth of speakers from a broad range of organisations to discuss the obstacles facing Apprenticeships in 2017 and how to overcome them.
There are very limited spaces left for this conference – if you would like to see Sara and others present their talks in person, book your space here.
If you can’t make the day, you can also preorder copies of all presentations from the day here.
We have already announced many of our annual conferences for 2017 – book early to secure early bird discounts for many dates.
