Colin, co-founded European Student Placement Agency in 2012 to create internships within the Erasmus+ framework, that meet the compulsory degree requirements for Bachelors and Masters students who study in the 33 countries that make up the Erasmus+ network. Now working with over 1000 Universities and Business Schools, ESPA are providing an alternative talent source for UK based clients, from global corporates through to innovative venture capital backed start-ups.

Projects, skills gaps & pre-monetisation of roles generate the opportunities but many clients are now seeing a 6-12 month ‘try before you buy’ intern as a perfect lead in to their graduate recruitment programmes or as a ‘direct to hire’ option.

Prior to ESPA’s launch, Colin had spent 20+years in the exporting world and has learnt that culture and language play an important part in the success of international business but it is an area often neglected when businesses, based in the UK, trade off our island!
