Evan Davidge, Head of Reward, UK Wellbeing Project Leader, ARUP

Evan is a seasoned reward professional with a breadth of experience largely gained in the armed forces, financial services, central government and professional services. Evan specialises in total reward and employee benefit solutions where he has implemented such programmes in corporate and independent consultancy roles.  Evan is currently a retained consultant for Arup, acting in the capacity of Head of Reward-UKMEA, and he is also the specialist thought leader globally. In this role he has led the design and implementation of a multi-award-winning healthcare programme.  Evan is a founder member of Reward Consulting Partners.  He is also a Reward Trainer and Consultant for the CIPD and World at Work Association respectively.  Evan has an MBA in Business Education Management and he is a Chartered Member of the CIPD.

Clare Price, Psychological Therapy Service Lead, RehabWorks

Clare qualified as a mental health nurse in 1995 and worked across a range of mental health services within the NHS. Following specialist training and accreditation as a CBT therapist in 2005, her NHS career culminated in the Clinical Leadership of an Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) service and lecturing in CBT at the University of Hull. Clare joined RehabWorks in 2010 to operationalise a Psychological Therapy Service (PTS) for common mental health disorders to be offered across occupational health settings and the insurance industry. As Clinical Lead, she has developed the PTS into an award-winning and industry-leading service for major employers such as BT, National Grid and PepsiCo UK.

Beth Husted, Vocational Rehabilitation Services Manager, Unum UK

Beth is currently a Vocational Rehabilitation Services Manager at Unum UK and supports a team of consultants with their portfolio of return to work case management and delivering absence management solutions/education to clients. Vocational Rehabilitation Consultants develop tailored plans to support employees back into the workplace following illness or injury.  They work alongside employers and support the individual with ongoing case management with regular reviews to monitor progress and adjust plans if the situation changes. Beth started her career as an Occupational Therapist working across a range of Hospital Settings from Stroke Rehab to cancer care, Chronic Fatigue and Rapid Response.  She then specialised in Vocational Rehabilitation 7 years ago supporting individuals and employers with return to work facilitation.

Lee Crowley, Head of Health & Wellbeing, Personal and corporate Banking, Barclays

Part of the Global ER team within Barclays PLC and responsible for the development and implementation of the Personal and Corporate Bank’s Health & Wellbeing programme – delivering across a colleague population of over 28,000 in the UK. Also currently developing a Global Wellbeing Portal  and supporting the development of a Global Wellbeing team and agenda.

Previous responsibilities at Barclays include implementation and leading of the Early Careers programme in Barclaycard – including both Apprenticeships and the ‘Barclays Degree Programme’ and HRBP within the Global Chief Operating Office.

Career background within in a variety of industries including retail, logistics, pharmaceutical and financial services. Original academic background including early human evolution and development and more recently Human Resources Management (Chartered MCIPD).

Patrick Woodman, Policy and Research Manager, CMI

Patrick Woodman, Head of External Affairs, Chartered Management Institute

As Head of External Affairs at CMI, Patrick is responsible for CMI’s thought leadership research, providing topical insights into the latest management practice and developing practical recommendations to help managers tackle the challenges they face.

Patrick has been the author or co-author of over a dozen CMI reports and regularly discusses CMI’s research findings and policy recommendations with the media.

Patrick also oversees CMI’s PR, membership communications – including Professional Manager magazine – and policy work, engaging with government departments and Parliamentarians on management and leadership skills issues and on workplace matters such as employee engagement, health and well-being, and equality and diversity.

Dr Jill Miller, Research Adviser, CIPD

Jill joined the CIPD in 2008 as a research adviser.  Her role is a combination of rigorous research and active engagement with academics and practitioners to inform projects and shape thinking.  She frequently presents on key people management issues, leads discussions and workshops, and is invited to write for trade press as well as offer comment to national journalists, on radio and TV. She specialises in absence management, employee well-being and the importance of promoting good mental health as well as physical health.

Alison MacGregor, Occupational Health Advisor, E.ON UK

Alison MacGregor is an occupational health advisor employed by the energy company eon and is based in the East Midlands area. Her clinical work covers a broad spectrum of occupational health nursing including call centres, metering, street lighting services and power engineering.

Alison has a specialist interest in working with both employees who are experiencing symptoms associated with common mental health conditions and providing advice and guidance to managers within the organisation.  She has recently been working collaboratively with OH colleagues, senior managers within the organisation and external support services to tackle common mental health conditions within the work place.

Alison spent over 10 years as a NHS cardiology manager and gained a public health degree in 2008 before moving to the occupational health field of nursing initially working for an international occupational health care provider before moving to eon in 2010.

Dr Lucy Goundry, Medical Director, Fit for Work Service

Dr Lucy Goundry is Medical director and Clinical Lead for the government-funded Fit for Work service and is responsible for the delivery of high quality assessments and advice on behalf of the service.

Previous to this Dr. Goundry worked in General Medicine, undertaking a structured training programme facilitating experience in several specialities. She worked as a specialist registrar in Cardiology and Diabetology at The Hammersmith Hospital before moving into  full time general practice. She worked as a GP Partner in Bexley Kent, where she developed an interest in Occupational Medicine, moving into this speciality in 2002. Prior to Fit for Work Dr Goundry was Medical Director at Nuffield Health, and Head of Occupational Health and Wellbeing in Local Government.

Michelle Haste, Employee Wellbeing Manager, Gentoo Group

Michelle joined Gentoo Group in 2001 spending her first 8 years progressing in many HR generalist roles with experience of supporting all divisions across the business. Michelle is now responsible for Employee Wellbeing at Gentoo and has been leading on this agenda for the last 3 years.

Her current role is to raise awareness, educate, demonstrate and signpost staff to a number of health services and programmes to enable individuals to be happier, healthier and more engaged in life at both work and home. The wellbeing programme has been recognised nationally as the 2014 Winner of Business in the Community Wellbeing and Engagement award.

Michelle is a member of both local and national steering groups: Sunderland Health Alliance and Public Health, Responsibility Deal; Health at Work.

Michelle is passionate for all things wellbeing and ensures she leads by example and gets involved in many of the activities at events taking place including taking part in her very first Great North Run in 2014

Susan Carty is the Head of Colleague Health and Wellness at Tesco and is responsible for the colleague health and wellness blueprint.  Formerly Susan led the Imperial Health at Work Service and at this time she was the professional advisor to the five year DWP funded Health for Work Adviceline Pilot, which helped inform the specification for the Fit for Work Service.  Sue has an MSc in Occupational Health & Safety and an Executive MBA.

Pippa Richardson, Yoga Teacher, Yogamatters

Pippa is the Marketing Manager at Yogamatters and a BWY trained yoga teacher. Pippa's classes are open-level, spacious and intuitive, allowing time for exploration and contemplation. Her clear, focused approach on alignment honours the need for different approaches for individual structures.

This approach aims to build strength and flexibility in both body and mind, encouraging the body to return to its natural state of ease and freedom. Pippa is based in London and teaches weekly hatha yoga classes, private 1-2-1’s and corporate classes.

Will I get the event presentations?

For environmental reasons, we do not print conference presentations.  They become available as a download in your account on this site, shortly before the event.

When your order is completed online, an account it automatically created for you.

Please remember the account login and password you created during the event registration process.  You will need this to access the presentations.

The event presentations are added to this account shortly before the seminar and can then be downloaded. We will notify you when they are available.

 


IF YOU BOOK FOR A COLLEAGUE PLEASE TELL THEM THIS

In order for people to get the presentations they have to download them from an account on this website. 

If you made the booking, you can download them for your colleague as you already have an account – or they can create their own account.

To create an account, the attendee will need to purchase the documentation directly from the site.  Don’t worry – we will email them a “Coupon Code” to input which makes the purchase free of charge. 

Normally we email all attendees to notify them when the documentation is available online about one week before the event.  We include account set up instructions and the Coupon Code with that email.

What food and refreshments are provided?

Generally coffee and light refreshments are available on arrival and at tea and coffee breaks throughout the day.  The times of these are made clear in the event programme.

Lunch is served on full day events.  We arrange a buffet with a selection of options to accommodate different dietary requirements, but if you have specific needs please feel free add this on the ‘additional information’ section of the online booking for or to email us.  Contact us here.

I have a discount code – how do I claim it?

If you have been sent a discount or special offer ‘coupon code’ this can be entered in the shopping cart while booking and your discount will be applied to your purchase.

I have a ‘ticket’ email but it does not say the right delegate names?

Don’t worry.  You don’t need the ‘ticket’, it’s just produced by the booking software to confirm the order.  

If you added delegate details on the booking form when you completed your order or told us by phone or email the names of the attendees, these people will be registered and do not need to bring the ‘ticket’.

 

I am a supplier or consultant, can I attend?

Sorry, but suppliers may not attend as delegates.

We do allow a strictly limited number of suppliers to exhibit.  Further exhibitor information can be found here or by calling our sales team on 020 7231 5100.

How do I pay? Can I have an invoice? Can I pay with a credit card?

Payment can be made by credit card when you book, or you can specify cheque, bank transfer or invoice etc. once you complete the registration form.

An invoice or receipt is automatically sent once booking is completed online.

For cheque and BACS payments, our account details can be downloaded here.

Credit card details can be taken by telephone, please call our account department on +44 (0)20 7231 5100. We do not store any credit card details used for payment.

Online credit card payments are transacted via Paypal – you do not need a Paypal account to use this facility.

How do I book an event?

You will then be taken to the shopping cart where you can confirm your purchase details, enter any discount or special offer coupon codes you may have, and arrange payment.

Event Date Changes

Changes are sometimes needed due to circumstances beyond our control such as trainers being ill, poor weather and so on.  In the very rare circumstances that we need to change the date for an event we will automatically offer you a place on the next available event date.  If this is not suitable for you we will refund your booking fee.

We cannot accept liability for travel and accommodation costs and strongly advise you not to book cheap ‘non-refundable / no change’ tickets and to check your insurance covers travel and accommodation in these circumstances.

Can you recommend a hotel near the venue?

Yes! Some of our events are actually held at hotels, but not all of them, so we have put together a page to help you find a suitable hotel near all of our main venues.

Can I cancel my booking or transfer to another event?

  • Cancellations can be made up to one month before the event. Cancellations must be confirmed in writing and will be subject to a cancellation charge of £100 + VAT.
  • Cancellations at less than one month from the event date are be subject to full payment.
  • Substitutions may be made at any date and are subject to a £100 + VAT administration fee.
  • Non-payment or non-attendance does not constitute a cancellation.
  • If you want to change to another course date, or different event, we will do our best to accommodate your request, but we reserve the right to refuse changes. Any changes are subject to a £100 + VAT administration fee.
